Organizing and re-styling!
It’s that time again the in between, after holiday winter blues. A state of limbo! That’s what I call it. It’s a great time to purge and really tackle those abandon areas. So every year after the holiday’s we purge. Out with the old in with the New! which leads to a few small makeovers. .
After cleaning our and reorganizing things it’s a great time to give that space a little love.
Let’s start with the smallest little nook I had in my old office it was so boring and so ugly! It was so uninspiring that I had to something about it because it was just a hot mess!
I took down the shelves, sanded and stained them to just add a bit of contrast. I then found some inexpensive wallpaper at Walmart, clearance aisle. YASss!! Seriously! Who doesn’t love a little clearance. Remember I was purging so had to keep this quick and simple. I added the wallpaper just to the back and instantly it spruced this little nook took it from zero to 100.
After giving it a makeover it was just perfect! Most of the stuff up there was just old mail and old files that needed to be tossed out and some filed. I Used a cute small binder that held an old planner and used it to hold business cards etc. Added a calendar to the right and motivational art gallery to the left side. The shelves now had room for books or just a pretty and inspiring work area.
I hope you enjoyed this mini tour of a bit of organizing and re-styling of something old and making it new.
